Editing photos from New York is hard. I'm trying to find the good street photos in there but it's sort of hard work separating them from the bad ones. The ones where nothing is happening but the light is nice and the backdrop is NYC. It's like eating a spoon full of cornflakes and then having a chocolate bar right after. Every photo has the chocolate bar in.
The other problem is romanticism for the city. It's a place I know from movies and TV shows so every it's hard to emotionally separate myself from that in order to really judge whether a photo is good or not.
I haven't finished my first full sweep through the series yet. I've got a couple of ideas for small photo essays to pull out and hopefully some good solo street photos in there too. 5,000 photos to review. Jinkies.
