Sefton Park Mist VI

As I said yesterday, this is quite different. I was lucky enough to stumble upon this tiny little path way that was just perfect. The way the trees framed the path with the light behind. Perfect for black and white.

Camera: Canon 30D // Lens: Canon 24-70 // Exposure Time: 1 / 320 // FNumber: 8 // Focal Length: 70 // ISO: 100

  1. Nicely seen + composed. This really reminds me of W Eugene Smith’s famous picture of his kids walking through bushes; it featured on BBC4’s “The genius of photography” recently

  2. I was imediately reminded of that image too…… I think he called it “walk into the garden of light”.. and shot it while recovering from injuries received working as a war photographer…….. To have shot anything that can be brought up credibly in the same sentence as that particular image……. by W.Eugine Smith…… hey thats a mighty achievement…….. well done!

  3. Hi. I stumbled upon your site while randomly surfing for websites. I must say that I love the composition of the photo and what makes the whole picture wonderful is the lighting and only the two subjects were in focus. Amazing!
