October 9th 2010, John Lennon’s 70th birthday. Today in Liverpool a Peace Monument was unveiled in his honour. There was a lovely performance by the Liverpool Signing Choir. That’s not a typo. They sign songs and it was really lovely to see them signing ‘Imagine’. You can see John Lennon’s son, Julian holding hands with the artist who created the monument and on the right is his mother Cynthia Lennon. The whole audience was up in arms singing to ‘Give peace a chance’.
