I loved the Craig Charles gig at the waterfront on Friday. Funk n soul isn’t my normal tipple of choice. By that I mean I’m happy to listen to it but I probably wouldn’t browse the artists on Spotify. That said I can’t deny the energy and pure soul to the music that was played on Friday. The atmosphere was electric. The crowd did not stop bouncing. Craig Charles promised that once his decks were moved to the front of the stage we would be “having it” tonight. We certainly had it. Even I was bouncing around. It was a really great night featuring artists like Smoove and Turrell and Lee Fields.
