Neurodivergence, technology and ableism.

This project looked at how the every day phone can enable people to be creative. To some the phone is that thing some people bury their heads into instead of engaging with the world. To others it’s a tool to engage with the world.

Using only an iPhone 4 and the app Hipstamatic, Pete approached various people on the street and asked if they would like to be photographed for the project. It demonstrates an alternative way to connect with the world through technology and photography.

“While I may struggle at a networking event to talk to people, preferring to engage via online platforms with less sensory issues, I can happily walk around and meet photograph people on the street with my phone.” – Pete Carr
