I realised yesterday that for one moment today the time date stamp would be 09:09:09 09/09/09. I decided to get up early, for me, and get a ferry ride in. Can you think of a better way of going to work than sailing across the Mersey on a ferry with dramatic light and that amazing Liverpool skyline growing as you head towards it? Sometimes you’ve got to go away to really appreciate where you are. I’ve been living in Liverpool for over 2 months and the typical thing of having everything on my doorstep has meant I’ve done nothing. So now I walk to work. I work from home so that means I do a lap of the city centre. At the end of the day I walk home from work too. Its great. It totally structures the day. It puts me in the right mindset. It gets me out, gets me active, gets me drinking water. There is no downside, apart from when it gets colder and rains. Why walk to work? Hopefully I’ll be in the habit by that time.
