I only took my Leica out last night and theres a good chance I’ll get horrible unusable photos back. But thankfully I fully documented the crazy snow we got at the start of the year. This was the scene on Hardman St, which I’m sure was the scene last night too.

Liverpool Lantern Parade
The Lantern Parade has always been a highlight for me. It was last on in 2008 and that really was a visual treat. In September 2009 news broke that due to a lack of funding from the council the parade wouldn’t be able to take place. A smaller event was setup at St Lukes Church.
Liverpool Capital of Culture 2008 – Peoples Launch #3
This is the view I was treated to. Its quite a dramatic comparison between 25mm and 10mm too. You can see just how small 25mm is on the cityscape.
Liverpool Capital of Culture 2008 – Peoples Launch #1
I was planning on saving these photos till tomorrow, however something came up. The Echo expressed an interest in them and as far as I’m aware two should be in today’s issue. I was very lucky to be hired by the company doing the fireworks display and they got me into the Radio City Tower.
