A spring train trip to Sheffield

It was a beautifully sunny spring day when we visited the Sheffield and the Peak District. I took my old little Fuji X100s camera, which I haven’t used it in years. I hoped a change of camera would produce some interesting photos and while tricky it produced nice photos.

A photo of a train station with two Avanti West Coast trains at the platform. The station is Manchester Piccadilly. There is a building under construction in the background.

A wooden table sits in front of a large window overlooking a city. The window has a balcony outside. Two pillows rest on the window seat.
A panoramic view of a landscape in the Peak District, showing a grassy hillside sloping down to a rocky outcrop, with a background of heather and a forest of evergreen trees.
High-angle, long shot of a valley in the Peak District, with a foreground of rocks and dry grass, and a background of hills, a forest of pine trees, and a clear sky.
Two hikers are sitting on a rock, enjoying the view of a vast, brown landscape. The sky is bright and mostly clear. The landscape features rocky outcrops and sparse vegetation.
Two motorcyclists riding on a winding road through a mountain pass. The road is paved and curves gently to the left. The mountains are green and grassy, with some rocky outcroppings. The sky is light and overcast.
A pathway winds through a lush indoor garden, illuminated by soft lighting. The ceiling is a curved wooden structure with glass panels, allowing natural light to filter in. Various types of plants, including palm trees and bamboo, fill the space. Benches provide seating areas along the pathway.
