Knowsley Music Festival – Keane

Keane were fantastic last night. I’ve been listening to their music while editing the images and it brings it all back. I wish I could have stayed for the full set but it took us nearly an hour to get out of Knowsley last night and thats with leaving 25 mins into the set, before the 30,000 others. What a day though. A 20 minute journey took 2 hours. When Joss Stone came on my 100-400 actually fogged up. Each bit of glass inside the lens developed condensation in a matter of minutes. That made no sense as it had been out a good 20 minutes. I don’t know what was going on with that. I did notice steam rising from my hands, which was odd. I think the humidity around the stage was totally broken. Thanks to my sister it cleared. She spent nearly 2 hours holding it over a radiator so it was clear for The Zutons and Keane. While shooting the mud pit I got splashed with mud, right on both lenses. I got them clean enough to use. It didn’t rain much but it was very muddy so I’m glad we borrowed my Dad’s 4×4. All in all a great day and I wish I’d had the chance to speak to people more but the mud was insane. I’ll be uploading more shots, possibly in slideshow form over the next few days. I have quite a few so I think a slideshow per artist will be best.
