Updates. Mum is in hospital getting scans/tests done (was expected, nothing sudden). I’m pretty much busy from 8am to 9pm. I get home from the hospital around 9ish and whack a film on then goto bed. 

I’ve built a nice 5.1/DTS system in our newly redesigned back room so its good to test out. So far I’ve watched Bad Boys 2, nice sound and Twister, also nice 🙂 Annoyingly with Twister I didn’t know you had to turn on DTS and only found that out afterwards. Still, means I get to rewatch it 😀 I watched the opening of Episode 4 and WOW. You know the opening bit were the Star Destroyer comes from behind and you’re blown away with the size of it, well you’re also blown away with the power of it. Seats vibrate n everything. The amazing part is that when you’re sitting in front of the system its LOUD, but to people outside, its not that loud. 

My net has been iffy the past few days due to my router taking the piss with settings. I set the ports to open, and nothing happens. Only just this morning did MSN magically start working. I had to restart the router this morning as it seemed to loose the connection or something. I had no IP apparently. I’m really tempted to get a new one. Wireless ADSL router with a built in hub so I can still be connected via wires. I’ll just have to see how this one plays out over the next few days. 

Halo 2 in 2 days. Sound system is ready, big screen TV, xbox (obviously) 🙂 Just waiting for it to be shipped really. It costs £35.99 from Simply Games, and for the past week I’ve had £33.99 credit on my card, so I’ve been a tad worried . I put £5 in last week and just this morning it updated to £38.99 credit or something 🙂 So I’m just about covered for the Halo 2 Special Edition I preordered back in July. I think its the longest time I’ve had a game on preorder. I would have easily preordered Half Life 2 last year if I knew I would have a PC to run it, so I’m glad they delayed it for me 😀 

So basically I’ve been to busy to do anything, even fix net access. I got torrents/web/email working and that was it really. Firefox 1 today, well now 🙂 The server will get crushed later today I bet. Oh, 1mb adsl sometime this week too I hope.
