An exhibition of photography curated by Routes471 C.I.C at Start Yard in Birkenhead. I submitted a series of 10 photographs taken around the Wirral. The work is on display until the end of Febuary, 2025.
Our past was once our future. These photographs transport you to different locations and times in Wirral, evoking a sense of nostalgia for the past and sparking curiosity about the future. Boats at low tide at Heswall Beach. Comet Neowise flying through space and over Perch Rock Lighthouse. Port Sunlight and the Lady Lever Art Gallery, are stunning in summer and winter. The old driftwood pirate ship, the Black Pearl, sitting on New Brighton beach. Finally, the New Brighton swimmers, who see the winter sunrise from the River Mersey, created a synchronised swimming light show in the Marine Lake to celebrate its 90th birthday.
